Samantha N. Kissell
Retirement Advisor and Medicare Advantage Specialist
United Financial Group
United Financial Group Retirement Advisor Sam Kissell is following in both her grandfather’s and father’s footsteps as a third-generation retirement and financial planner. For the past few years, Sam has been participating in an internship at United Financial Group. After going to multiple client meetings with her father, Retirement Advisor Mark K. Kissell, Sam began to understand how important helping people protect and preserve their nest egg really is. She decided to pursue a career as a retirement advisor as a result.
Throughout her high school studies at Manchester, Sam actively participated in Student Council, the National Honor Society and was part of the yearbook editorial staff. She is the recipient of several awards, including “Academic Excellence,” “Mental Attitude,” and “Community Service.” Sam attributes her organization and time-management skills with allowing her to participate in all those activities (plus golf) while obtaining her Indiana Academic Honors diploma and getting several college class credits under her belt.
Currently, Samantha is a full-time student at Indiana University–Kokomo, studying to obtain her bachelor’s degree in business marketing. She received academic scholarships from the university as well as an athletic scholarship to play on the IU-Kokomo Women’s Golf Team.
In her free time, Sam enjoys practicing her golf game, spending quality time with her dog, traveling to new cities, and volunteering at her local animal shelter. Sam strives to be the best person she can be, while encouraging others to do the same.
